Jasmine Harman is house hunting around the east coast of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands, with Steve and his wife Sid. They both have busy lives and can’t wait to buy their own holiday home where they can escape for relaxing getaways with their family. The couple have a budget of £100,000 and are looking for a 2-bedroom property with a communal pool. Jasmine has 5 fantastic options up her sleeve, but will any match up to their dreams?
About the area
Fuerteventura is about a 4 and a half hour flight from the UK – and the areas we will be covering in this episode are all a 20 minute or less drive from the airport. Fuerteventura was formed following a volcanic eruption more than 20 million years ago, making it the oldest of all the Canary Islands – it’s also the second largest after Tenerife in terms of size, but the smallest in terms of population. Caleta de Fuste, which translated means “bay of the fishing boat”, is a relatively new resort, which only started being developed in the late 1980s. It’s built round its large beach and small harbour, and there’s plenty to do here year round for holiday makers and residents.
