Laura Hamilton is on Portugal’s beautiful Costa Da Caparica helping fitness fans Caron and Ivo find a holiday home that they plan to eventually move into permanently. They have a budget of £300,000 to find a property with enough space for Ivo’s five motorcycles and Caron’s clothes collection. Laura has five great options lined up, but will any get the couple sufficiently revved up to put in an offer?
About the area
Around a two and a half hour flight from the UK into Lisbon and just a 20 minute drive across the River Tagus takes you to the Costa da Caparica. Named after the largest town of the region, the Costa da Caparica is a stunning 15 mile stretch of coastline with wide sandy beaches dotted with traditional Portuguese villages.
The area is particularly popular with surfers as conditions here are absolutely perfect for them. While still less developed than other nearby coastal hotspots such as Cascais, houses by the sea front here still come with a high price tag.
