A Place in the Sun is the UK’s leading overseas property media brand and a highly recognisable name. It started life as a TV show, created by Freeform Productions, that was first broadcast on Channel 4 in 2000 and has been a part of popular TV culture ever since. The show helps Brits find the perfect property abroad and has opened up a world of opportunity to the British public. 

The current line-up of presenters features Jasmine Harman, Laura Hamilton, Ben Hillman, Jean Johansson, Lee Juggurnauth, Leah Charles-King and Craig Rowe.

A now discontinued magazine of the same name was launched in 2004 with the A Place in the Sun Live exhibitions following in 2005. The exhibitions now take place three times per year - in London, Manchester and in Birmingham. An additional show format, A Place in the Sun Property Showcase was also launched in in 2019, and takes place in Dublin each year.

A Place in the Sun went online in 2006 and aplaceinthesun.com now features over 100,000 properties for sale around the world, alongside editorial content including invaluable buying advice and guides for those planning to buy or relocate overseas.

The latest addition to the brand, A Place in the Sun Currency, is a dedicated currency broker specifically designed for anyone making overseas payments to buy and maintain an overseas property.
