Craig Rowe is coming to the help of Maria, who works in administration and Paul a retired police officer, who have been holidaying in Southern Spain regularly to escape the English winters. About the area
While those ‘pueblos blancos’ or white villages can be found across Southern Spain, we’re focusing on an area roughly an hour’s drive east of the city of Malaga. Home to a busy airport that’s also known as the ‘gateway to the Costa del Sol’. Inland from some stunning coastal towns like Torre del Mar and Nerja, that offer a more authentic Spanish beach experience the traditional villages, that’s white colour comes from their ‘moorish’ past, are surrounded by mountains and forests and often position on a hilltop with a dramatic view.
