Fitness Instructor Denise currently lives in Kent, while partner Stephen is a gardener from Worthing in West Sussex. With all those miles between them, they’re desperate for a place they can share together and where they can enjoy their mutual favourite pastime – holidaying. Denise even lived in the Costa del Sol ten years ago, along with her daughters who are now twenty-one and eighteen and also have a passion for southern Spain. Plus, Stephen’s two twenty-six-year-old twin sons are sure to be visiting them. They have a budget of one hundred and forty thousand pounds for their holiday home in southern Spain, and Jean will use all her expertise of buying, selling and renovating properties to find them the perfect place.

About the area

Mijas is a municipality in the province of Málaga, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Mijas is famous for its scenic golf courses. The ‘Los Lagos’ Course is popular and is one of the top 100 golf courses in Spain. ‘Cerrado del Aguila’ is another scenic golf course, with flat, wide open fairways with nice views of the Sea. The climate of Mijas, due to its proximity to the Sea, enjoys semi-tropical temperatures, with winter days being mostly warm/hot and agreeable, and days of hot/very hot weather from May until October.
