The pretty coastal town of Adra in Almeria Province is along Spain’s southern coast. It’s within an hour’s drive of Almeria airport, which has direct flights from the UK taking about 3 hours. It’s the perfect spot for sun seekers and skiers alike, with the snow- capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada mountains nearby as well as several beaches, all blue flagged, right on its doorstep. Like many of the other towns found in the Almeria province, Adra is surrounded by land used for agriculture – seen by its greenhouses, in fact this area is known as the Market Garden of Spain.
