Las Palmas
Why buy here?
Just over a 4 hour flight from the UK brings you to Gran Canaria. It is the third largest island in the Canaries, and is known as a “miniature continent” due to its diverse landscape of volcanic mountains, sweeping sand dunes and 60 kilmotres of golden beach. The island attracts over 4 million tourists each year, with the majority heading to the popular holiday resorts in the south. The north is home to the historic capital of Las Palmas. The weather is much sunnier in the south than the north as the mountains seem to hang onto the clouds. This does however make it much more lush and green, and it’s also much more popular with the Spanish. Las Palmas is Spains 9th largest city and has a good bus system and is also a large port popular with the cruise ships as a stop off point.
