Sam and Brian from Dudley in the West Midlands have been married for 25 years and they both share a deep love of travelling. Nowhere has captured their hearts quite like Lanzarote, and in the past 14 years they’ve been to the island no less than 10 times! Now with a budget of £240,000 they want to buy their own holiday home here. They’ve enlisted the help of Lee Juggurnauth who has 5 great properties lined up, but will any of them turn out to be the dream?

About the area

Lanzarote is the most easterly of Spain’s Canary Islands, about 80 miles from the coast of Africa and with an international airport to which flights from the UK take around 4 hours. Much of the island has an unusual volcanic landscape and there are some black sand beaches, especially in the north. Today’s search though focuses in the south, particularly around the resort of Playa Blanca. Now Lanzarote’s third most popular tourist resort, there are beautiful beaches here backed by hotels and loads of restaurants, bars and shops. The beautiful marina is another highlight, with boardwalks connecting visitors to a great array of places to enjoy tapas or vino in the average summer temperatures of 29 balmy degrees.
