Jean Johansson is helping engaged couple, Sharon and Paul from Shropshire first met at work over twenty years ago. They finally got together 9 years ago, and have travelled all over the world together since then. Now, tired of long – haul flights, and with a wedding imminent they have decided it’s time to buy a holiday home which they can easily escape to and enjoy the sun. They’ve chosen the seaside town of Gran Alacant on Spain’s Southern Costa Blanca and they have a budget of £135,000 for the perfect property. About the area

Conveniently located a ten minute drive south of Alicante airport, Gran Alacant is pretty easy to get to, with loads of flight arriving all year round from across the UK. It’s an up and coming area of around twenty five to thirty urbanisations named after the first development here, built on the top of a hill some thirty years ago. Now stretching from there down towards the coast and the beautiful Carabassi beach, there are a great variety of options here, from laid back smaller resorts to the more holiday focused larger developments. While each one has its own selection of bars and restaurants there’s also loads going on down by the coast.
