About the area

Benalmadena lies on the Costa Del Sol in Southern Spain and is just 20 minutes drive from Malaga airport – which you can fly into from loads of different parts of the UK – the flight time is around 3 hours. Benalmadena, which first became popular with tourists in the 1950s, is a busy and bustling beach resort – its 80,000 year round population more than triples in peak season – and while lovers of sun sea and sand will never find themselves twiddling their thumbs, there’s lots of other things to do here as well – whether it’s shopping and socialising in the lively Arroyo De La Miel district or relaxing and enjoying the architecture of the old town
