Barbados - A Place in the Sun

Barbados Craig Rowe

Photographer and videographer Geoff is looking for a holiday home on the Caribbean Island of Barbados and he’s brought his good friend Alan to help him with the search. Tasked with finding the perfect place is property expert Craig Rowe who has five impressive properties to show them for their budget of £160,000 – but will any of them be right up Geoff’s street?

About the area

An eight-and-a-half-hour flight from the UK takes you to Barbados, the most eastern island in the Caribbean. Just 21 miles long and 14 wide, Barbados attracts around 10,000 visitors a year–holiday makers who really want to get away from it all and soak up the laid back, Caribbean lifestyle. The West Coast, known as the Platinum Coast, is a beautiful stretch of golden sand and stunning clear warm waters, perfect for snorkelling, diving, and swimming. Seen as the most exclusive part of the island, properties here are particularly in demand.
