This past weekend A Place in the Sun Live brought the sunshine back to the capital (9th - 11th May) for its 20th Anniversary! What an amazing three days it was welcoming house hunters from around the UK keen to find their own place in the sun whilst we celebrated two decades of our live events. Let's check out what went on ...
Thousands chasing the dream
Across three days 4,266 aspiring buyers walked through our doors, each bringing a different story, set of priorities, and idea of the perfect overseas property. What connected them all was a shared dream; turning the idea of life in the sun into a reality.
Familiar faces!
A Place in the Sun fans got to meet up with the stars Jasmine Harman, Laura Hamilton, and special guest Amanda Lamb! The trio hit the stage to dish out expert tips, property secrets, and behind-the-scenes stories from the show.
The TV production team was also scouting for future couples of A Place in the Sun. Screen tests took place over the weekend, and who knows some of this year's participants may return next year to share their own success stories on stage!
Worldwide experts, under one roof
Our exhibition was buzzing with excitement, featuring a stellar line-up of international property pros – from savvy estate agents and lawyers to financial advisors and currency whizzes!
Experts from Spain, France, Portugal, Turkey, Cyprus, the USA, and beyond were ready to share their insider tips with potential buyers. But that’s not all! We also featured stunning destinations like Egypt, Dubai, Kenya, Zanzibar, South Africa, Tanzania, Bulgaria, and Cambodia for the ultimate global property experience!
Seminars that answered the big questions
Visitors had an informative time diving into a jam-packed seminar schedule spread across three buzzing stages:
The Hub – This was the place to be for expert Q&As, inspiring success stories, and a bit of star power! TV presenters Jasmine Harman, Laura Hamilton, and Amanda Lamb took to the stage to share their insider secrets on buying property abroad. From cracking the Spanish property market to sorting visas and planning your dream move, The Hub had it all.
The French Village – This stage served up everything you need to know — and more! Attendees got top tips on navigating the French buying process, planning a permanent move, and sorting essentials like pensions, healthcare, and inheritance. Whether you’re dreaming of a cottage in the countryside or a chic Parisian apartment, expert advice was on hand to help you make it happen.
The Seminar Theatre – Covering the globe with practical advice, this stage was all about making your overseas plans a reality. From tax and financial planning to saving big on currency transfers, mortgages, and insurance, experts broke it all down. Visitors explored exciting property options in Portugal, Italy, Egypt, Dubai, Florida, and Cyprus — whether for a holiday getaway or a brand-new life in the sun.
