Day one of A Place in the Sun Live is officially over at the NEC Birmingham, and what an exhibition it's been so far! Since 10am this morning, we've welcomed over one thousand aspiring overseas property owners through the doors, who've been seeking the essential advice they need on buying a home abroad from exhibitors all over the world. There has also been a range of useful seminars and Q&A's taking place across multiple stages today, some of which were conducted by the stars of the TV show.
Let's take a look at our top highlights from day one of A Place in the Sun Live:
The Hub
TV star Amanda Lamb kicked off proceedings in our ever-popular Hub, discussing how individuals can get the most out of the three-day show. This was then followed by an official magazine signing session with many happy attendees.
Jonnie Irwin also took the time to sign magazines for our attendees after his interview, and pose for a photo or two!
An expert panel made up of taxation, legal and property specialists delivered a talk on the current state of the Portuguese property market. This was chaired by our very own magazine editor Liz Rowlinson.
French Village
Barbara Heslop from Heslop & Platt Solicitors discusses the important legal aspects of buying a French property.
Florida Pavilion
Patricia Tan from Coldwell Banker Global outlines some tips for success when searching and buying a property in Florida.
