Reese Witherspoon has listed her impressive 1920s Californian ranch, the site of her marriage to second husband Jim Toth, for $10 million.
The property, in Ojai, northwest of Los Angeles, occupies seven acres and includes a four-bedroom, three and a half-bathroom 'Spanish style' main house ("with a massive stone fireplace"), three guest cottages, a barn, horse stables, a carriage house, landscaped gardens which are currently home to horses, pigs, dogs and chickens, and a pool. It has featured in glossy spreads in Vogue, House Beautiful and Elle Decor.
The ranch was once home to the 'founding father' of the town of Ojai, the glassware magnate Edward Libbey, and has previously been owned by actor and director Harold Ramis. Robert Pattinson was also rumoured to be hiding out in the ranch following his break-up with Kristen Stewart, having been taken in by Witherspoon, who he befriended on the set of their film 'Water for Elephants'.
The Oscar-award winning actress bought the estate in March 2008 for $5.8 million, shaving $1 million off the $6.95 million asking price. She also owns another property in the area – a seven-bedroom LA mansion formerly owned by Steven Seagal, which features its own Buddhist temple.
