Hollywood actor Tom Cruise has his heart set on a luxury property in Malta, and has reportedly enlisted the help of an estate agent to fulfill his demanding wishlist of must-haves.
Mr Cruise has enrolled Alessandro Proto Consulting, a property agency based in Milan, which has already helped the star buy property in Italy and London, to find him a home with six bedrooms, a swimming pool and a gym, as well as a massive 200 square-metre living room - almost as big as a tennis court. He has also stipulated that his new pad must be private and ideally not overlooked.
It may seem like a long list of demands but the company is certainly up to the challenge - it has previously found A-list standard property for Brad Pitt and Leonardo di Caprio.
Sources claim that Cruise fell in love with the island earlier this year when he paid a secret two-day visit to his friend Pitt, who was filming World War Z in the area and renting the Guarena Palace, an 18th century fort-like villa in Qrendi along with partner Angelina Jolie and their six children.
Cruise now intends to purchase a home which he can use as a base when filming, and also as a holiday retreat.
As for his budget? Sources claim that money is no object and that Cruise is willing to spend mega bucks in pursuit of his dream home. After all, with a net worth of $250 million, he's got enough to go around.
