Flights to Tenerife
Tenerife has two airports – Tenerife South and Tenerife North – but most flights from the UK arrive into the former. Monarch has scheduled flights to Tenerife South from Gatwick, Birmingham, Luton and Manchester and chartered flights from Gatwick, Birmingham, East Midlands and Manchester. Easyjet, FlyThomasCook, Thomson Flights and Ryanair also fly to Tenerife South.
San Eugenio Bajo - 20 minutes to airport (South)
San Eugenio Bajo is a family-friendly area on the edge Playa de las Américas – close to the hedonistic night spots there without being in the thick of things. It has its own selection of bars and restaurants and is close to Puerto Colon marina, a busy hub of activity for water sports, fi shing trips and pleasure excursions. Beaches within walking distance include Playa la Pinta beach in Puerto Colon and Fañabe beach.
Other nearby attractions include the Siam aqua park and two golf courses! Property in this area has good rental potential with a long rental season.

Granadilla (de Abona) - 20 minutes to airport (South)
A traditional pretty town around ten kilometres inland of the (southern) airport, picturesque Granadilla is lined with pine trees and suited to second homeowners who prefer tranquil holidays in an authentic Canarian environment and residential buyers.
The town organises local activities for residents, including walking clubs and local festivals with live music. It has a selection of local shops for the essentials, and a choice of restaurants and bars. Given its inland location, your money goes further here than in the coastal hot spots.

Santa Úrsula - 90 minutes to airport (South)
So close it's practically a suburb of the northern resort of Puerto de la Cruz, calm Santa Úrsula contrasts with the lively southern resorts and is suited to families. It combines quiet residential areas with frontline hotels overlooking the sea, and has its own beach. One of its draws is that it's convenient for other parts of the island.
As well as Puerto de la Cruz, it has good access to the principal town of Santa Cruz, as well as the Orotava Valley, which begins at the coast and reaches as far inland as the Mount Teide, Spain's tallest moutain (3,718 metres).
