LOCATION:
This truly wonderful unique stone village house is located in a traditional Greek farming community where its residents welcome you with open arms, it is truly Greek with a true pure Greek atmosphere of cafeneons and taverna a post office/cafeneon The villagers welcome you into their hearts with ladies craft groups cookery groups and dancing classes for the children A good bus passes by the village to take you to Pylos the nearest town of a morning and brings you back at lunchtime the location of Olive trees and family farms offers a quiet and relaxing atmosphere the occasional Mikanicki (farm vehicle)passing by with tractors and village cars but with amazing scenery and wonderful walks The village is currently undoing an archaeological project dating from the late Bronze Age 1600-1100BC this is said to be Mycenaean and most famous for such mythical sagas as the Trojan War Excavation of the early Helladic,Middle Helladic and Mycenaean settlement has uncovered ceramics and most excitingly monumental buildings and a inscribed tablet which is the earliest state record from the Greek Mainland Kalamata the capital of the Messinian county with all it’s port supermarkets shops hospitals banks schools and many bars and tavern.

Kalamata Airport is approx. a one hour drive.

This large traditional village house has traditional wood floors and ceiling, interior walls of approx. 40cm thick, which make the house very cool in summer and warm in winter. A wood burning stove fully connected to electricity and water supplies and telephone could be reconnected large solar water heating system A cesspit that was once a well the house built of stone with a tiled roof has a verandah with views of the mountains and the village.

The upper level comprises an open-plan lounge/ kitchen/ dining room.
A master bedroom and second bedroom with a view of the lane and further in the distance the sea.
There is a good sized bathroom outside with a full sized bath WC and basin.

Downstairs accommodation

In addition to the house there is also an olive grove of 1.000 m2 situated on the edge of the village and within walking distance from the house, approx. 1 km. Apart from 22 olive trees, lemon, orange trees, there is a chicken run ready for your chickens which holds 6 big or 10 small, or ideally could also be used as a vegetable plot.
