The main nationalities to be found in Benimar are Spanish, British, Dutch, and Belgian with a slightly lesser German and Scandinavian population.

Medical services are close by (the medical centre one attends depends on which part of the urbanisation one lives in), and the urbanisation is served by the University Hospital of Torrevieja. Similarly, the urbanisation is within the catchment area of two local primary schools, Benijófar and Rojales, and one high school, IES La Encanta, Rojales.

The AP-7 Motorway is easily accessible, with Alicante airport only a 35-minute car drive away.

Benimar, traditionally, always has a vibrant social scene, particularly in the summer months. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are always available, and the range of choice of where to eat is wide. Spanish, British, American, Dutch, Indian, Chinese, Italian, and Mexican places can all be found here. The new commercial centre on the border between Benijófar and Benimar, has added further quality to Benimar’s social repertoire.

Benimar is within walking distance to the Aqua Park Rojales, and the local golf courses, shopping centres and beaches are all within very easy driving distance.

The nearest and best golden sandy beaches to Benimar are about a 15-minutes car journey and are some of the best beaches on the Southern Costa Blanca, including Guardamar del Segura and Torrevieja. There are also regular bus services from Benijofar to Guardamar del Segura and Torrevieja with easy access to the beaches.

Notably, both the Torrevieja Natural Park and the coast are both around 10 km away – estimated at approximately 30 minutes by bicycle.
