The property can be accessed from the village of Canillas de Aceituno (around 6kms) of which 3.5Kms is part paved and part dirt track. A gated driveway (electric gates controlled with a remote control) leads to a large gravel parking area for several cars, including a covered area, plus two storage sheds to the rear of the house. Here a short walk around the side of the house leads to the main gardens planted with many mature plants and trees, including fruit trees, along with two raised vegetable beds and flowering bushes surrounding the plot, over which one can contemplate the beautiful views of the countryside. The trees include many olive trees, 2 juicy navel orange trees, a peach tree and a paraguayo peach, as well as apricot, nectarine, mandarin, lemon, lime, pomegranate, loquat, 2 bay trees and 3 grape vines and not forgetting a Kaffir lime tree and lemon grass for those Thai curries! A covered dining terrace with outdoor kitchen and BBQ sits under the pergola with flowering jasmine, making summer evenings unforgettable with the beautiful views of the mountain ranges always present. This terrace is located next to the magnificent swimspa.

The swimspa
This latest technology spa includes a main pool with a current generating machine, with 6 settings, to allow an easier or a stronger current for swimming against the current. The pool is 125cm deep and has a fountain and colour-changing lights. The jacuzzi is located next to the swimspa area and has seating for two plus a bed, hence with a capacity for 3 persons. Both the swimspa and the jacuzzi areas are individually heatable. This installation currently retails at around 35,000 Euros. There is decking installed around the swimspa.

The house, around 115m2, faces the views and the gardens and pool. There is open, paved terracing to the front with patio doors from the house. A door leads into the front porch area, (2 x 4m) which has glass doors that open out fully, allowing this area to be open in the summer and closed in the winter. In winter, this area is the perfect place for an afternoon snooze or for reading on the comfortable sofa.

From here a door leads into the living/dining room area (6.3 x 4m) with a woodburner fireplace for cosy winter evenings, hot/cold air conditioning, and plenty of light from the windows. At the far end is a store room/hallway (2 x 1.7m) which is actually where the front door is located, leading out to the car parking area. This area is also the location of the batteries used to store electricity collected from the photo voltaic solar panels.

To the right of the living room is the lovely, bright, fully fitted kitchen (3 x 3.2m) with a window to the South/gardens/pool. Also to the right is a short corridor that leads to the family bathroom (2.6 x 1.7m), two double guest bedrooms (3.2 x 2.65m and 3.7 x 3.2m), and, at the far end, the master bedroom, (5.5 x 3.2m) with hot/cold air conditioning and double doors out to the paved open patio area outside, plus en-suite bathroom (2.1 x 2.65m).

This lovely house has many special features. It has oil-fired under floor heating in all rooms, solar heated water with both electric and oil backup, and photovoltaic solar panels that generate electricity, saving money on electricity bills. The photovoltaic system could be updated as technology is moving forward at a fast rate, and could include heating the swimspa, saving on electricity for the swimspa too. The house has hot/cold air conditioning in the main bedroom (new machine) and has ceiling fans in all rooms. There is also a grey water tank (needs some basic repairs) which would allow used water to be recycled on the garden. There are also two water tanks providing storage of 3000L of water.
