Full Description

A gentle slope, a plot of more than 3,000 sq m, a stone villa of approx. 230 sq m, two levels, a 60 sq m swimming pool, and an outdoor sitting area between the two…Yes between the two levels.
This modern stone villa is one of the originals. Not much of superfluity. A smart design that captures the eye without a deviation from simple architecture. Straight lines for both levels with the lower level almost being incorporated within the sloping hill.
The lower level will be reserved for three independent bedrooms with their own ensuite bathroom and exit to the front terrace and garden. The master bedroom will have a dressing room and the other two will have fitted wardrobes. On the roof a classy shrine to dolce vita, a sunbed area, an outdoor living space with a built open fireplace, the Hestia as the ancient Greeks called it, with a built-in sofa and unrestricted views of the surrounding countryside.
The lower level will be internally connected with a staircase that will lead up to a spacious living room in an open plan with a kitchen and dining area with large, double-glazed sliding window doors looking out towards the pool. To the back of the floor, a storage room and a guest bathroom complete the arrangement of the interior. On the side of the floor, a wide pergola shaded terrace enough to fit an outdoor dining table extends the living space to the outdoors.
The house will have an autonomous heating system that works with diesel, solar panels for hot water and fitted insect nets as well as electrically operated rolling shutters.

Almyrida is a coastal settlement at the Gulf of Souda, from where one can see Akrotiri across the bay (to the north) and the islet of Karga (to the northwest). The location is surrounded by steep slopes on the east and west. At the western end of the village, on the road to Kalyves, one can see the ruins of an early Christian Basilica of the 6th century, which has impressive mosaic floors. Right next to the church, on the hill of Finikia, one can find the ruins of an ancient Greco-Roman city, whose traces have also been found on the islet of Karga right opposite.
The development of tourism did not take long to reach Almyrida, which developed into a popular resort within a few years. A significant factor that led to this development was its beautiful beach, which is awarded every year with the “blue flag”, a form of certification of its seawater purity and of the existence of the necessary infrastructure for the safety of bathers. As a result, several hotels and restaurants have been built to accommodate the needs of visitors, who can also try several water sports in the area, such as canoeing, sailing or diving.
