Today was the most incredible visit I could have made.
While I was learning about the place to visit, Fragneto Monforte, I came across a splendid image of the town flown over by a dozen hot air balloons.
I thus discovered that shortly thereafter, in mid-October to be precise, there would be a gathering of hot air balloons.
Well, what can I say... how could I miss visiting an ancient Anglo-Beneventan hunting estate if I didn't arrive from the sky?
And so in a wicker basket I flew over the ancient Via delle Puglie, beneath me alternating splendid green tones of fertile fields alternated with some patches of the first woods that were starting to turn yellow.
This wonderful property is an authentic oasis of peace and beauty, immersed in soft hills, where you can already imagine living a life immersed in nature, in a historic house renovated with respect for history and tradition.
This mansion owned by the noble Montalto family has been handed down from generation to generation since the distant 1500s and has been the hunting residence of the dukes for centuries when they stayed in the imposing Palazzo Ducale.
The splendid farmhouse, completely renovated a few years ago, is spread over two floors connected by an internal staircase. On the ground floor there is the large eat-in kitchen, the comfortable and delightful dining room, and the living room where the large and welcoming fireplace stands out in the center. Adjacent to the bathroom, a small living room to receive tea at the moment or to dedicate yourself to reading a good book while smoking a pipe completes this incredible ground floor with the walls in white Benevento stone. All the rooms, with the exception of the bathroom, have direct access to the outside so as to be able to live in full harmony in contact with nature.
