Secluded finca outside Pravia

Finca in Pravia in an amazing location, just a short 1 km drive above this popular town and close to the Cantabrian coast, just west of Avilés. The finca is gated and fenced around the whole perimeter making it very secure and private. There are no immediate neighbours but it's not isolated nor far from civilisation. The finca has mains water and electricity connected and good phone coverage for anyone wanting to work from home in this ideal spot.

Casa and Hórreo

The main property on this finca is a beautiful two bedroom cottage which sits next to a traditional wooden Hórreo. The property has lots of original features throughout including wooden beamed ceilings, stone fireplace and chestnut doors and windows. The front door opens into the kitchen which houses the fireplace, an antique dresser, fridge and a two ring ceramic hob. A washing machine is in the walk-in larder next to the kitchen and there's also space for a chest freezer. To the left of the kitchen is a short corridor leading to the shower room and main bedroom, in here you'll also find a small wood burner to keep cosy in winter. To the right is the second bedroom. There's also a small loft space accessed via a pull down ladder in the corridor. This space is ideal storage room, it's dry and well lit by a couple of small windows at the front. A new roof was added to the house in 2016.

As you leave the house there's a door to the right which opens into another small shower room - ideal to use after gardening or sun bathing for example. Above and behind the house and accessed from outside, is another small room which is currently utilised as a bedroom and next to this a further bedroom is found inside the wooden Hórreo to the right of the house. Beneath the Hórreo is a stone built room which has suffered from damp and is in need of drying out, but would make a useful storage area. Over to the left side of the house, closer to the garden and play area is a covered outside kitchen with a BBQ and pizza oven with room for tables and chairs. Next to this and slightly behind the house is a small shed and workshop area. 

Bungalow

A newer build, constructed in 2008, this modern bungalow makes a light a airy summer house or would be ideal for rural tourism and a good source of a secondary income. The bungalow consists of an open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge. The space is heated by a wood burner which makes use of the endless supply of firewood on the finca, which is surrounded by forestland. In addition there's a shower room and adjacent to this is a store room which could be utilised as a double bedroom. The front of the bungalow boasts large windows to take advantage of the stunning views and the sunlight. The doors slide open fully to allow fresh air to circulate in the summer. In front of the bungalow is a large piece of land which slopes downwards in front of the property, currently two ponies live here. They also reside in the lovely little stone built barn which sits on the hillside above the bungalow. All of this is included in the sale of the property. The main piece of land stretches up behind the property as far back as the tree line. The views from the land are incredible, looking out over the town and countryside below.

Overall this is a wonderful property, full of character and surrounded by its own lovely garden, full of mature trees and plants. Located 1km from Pravia, 8km from the beach and Asturias airport and only half an hour to Gijón, Avilés and Oviedo.
