Christmas Day is a lovely time with primary tourists on the beach wearing Father Christmas hats, cracking open their bottles of champagne and picnic boxes and enjoying the day on the beach. New Year’s Day is when the local Spanish residents prefer to have their stroll along the coast.  In slightly cooler weather, it’s lovely to walk along the beach to Torrevieja from the Orihuela Costa and then back again. The beautiful Orihuela Costa is a fabulous place for residents and holidaymakers alike. The World Health Organisation has deemed this area one of the healthiest places to live.
