The Birmingham NEC shone brightly from the 19th - 21st September as A Place in the Sun Live returned to the West Midlands! Over the weekend, thousands of house hunters discovered new opportunities to turn their overseas property dreams into reality. Let’s revisit the action ...

Across three unforgettable days, we welcomed 4,670 visitors - each with unique budgets, location preferences, and property dreams. Yet they were united by one goal: finding their perfect place in the sun.
A Place in the Sun TV presenters
We were thrilled to welcome Jasmine Harman, Laura Hamilton and Ben Hillman at the weekend to share expert insights, property-buying tips and exclusive behind-the-scenes stories from the show! Visitors also had the chance to chat to them in person, grab a selfie and get their very own show guide signing!
One of the weekend’s highlights came on Saturday, when Ben Hillman was joined by Gary and Sandra from Redditch, house hunters who found their dream home in Murcia for £59,000! They reunited on the main stage to share their journey, from the search process to life in their new home in the sun!

The production team was busy scouting for the next stars of A Place in the Sun TV show with screen tests running all weekend. Maybe next time, some of this year’s visitors will be back - not in the audience, but on stage sharing their own success stories!
Expert seminars
Packed stages across the weekend saw visitors soaking up advice from our expert panel. From the legalities of buying overseas to tax, finance, relocation, and property-hunting know-how, the free seminar programme gave house hunters all the essential information they need to take the next step with confidence.
Estate agents and property specialists from around the world
From the Mediterranean charm of Spain, Italy, Greece, and Cyprus, to the relaxed coastal lifestyle of Portugal and France, and the vibrant culture of Turkey and Egypt - there was so much to explore. Visitors could even look further afield, with opportunities in the United States, Thailand, and the UAE opening up new horizons. Each country had a specialist on hand to share insights and opportunities!

Alongside our exhibitors, the A Place in the Sun team were out in full force all weekend - and you definitely couldn’t miss us! Dressed in our signature bright orange, we were on hand to guide visitors, answer questions, and point people in the right direction. Whether it was advice on where to start or simply encouragement to take the next step, our team was proud to be part of each visitor’s journey.
