A Place in the Sun Live Property Showcase, a brand-new twist on our ongoing A Place in the Sun Live exhibitions, enjoyed a successful debut at the Glasgow Hilton Hotel to conclude a fantastic year of events for A Place in the Sun.
The two-day Property Showcase event was a smaller, more intimate event where attendees received valuable insight on purchasing abroad from TV personality Jasmine Harman who flew in directly from a week’s filming of the TV show in Alicante. There was plenty of interest in Jasmine’s schedule, most recent buyers and years of experience in presenting properties to British buyers – as well as a good number of people wanting a chat and selfie after the seminar.
The 25 exhibitors in attendance were estate agents covering Spain, France, Portugal, Florida, Turkey and Cyprus as well as a number of law firms specialising in helping people buy overseas. It was also a debut event for A Place in the Sun Currency offering practical advice on the ways to transfer money overseas.
How does Property Showcase differ from our regular events?
The Property Showcase format enables us to visit a wider range of locations and venues than the large-scale A Place in the Sun Live events at Manchester Central. Olympia London and the NEC Birmingham and bring information on the buying process and the latest properties for sale to more people.
Many buyers are keen to progress their plans and hungry for detail on how exactly to go about it, this intimate setting provided the opportunity to engage with companies who had flown into Glasgow specifically for this purpose. And, of course, to hear from Jasmine Harman.
