For sale is this pretty cottage which is about 7km’s from Bussière-Poitevine in the Haute Vienne, Department 87, Nouvelle Aquitaine.

The cottage is down a little road that I have not been down for a while, and I had forgotten how magnificent the views were coming down the road to this lovely little rural hamlet. But I could not forget how pretty this cottage is, perfectly nestled in the hamlet with only woodland/land after it, some of which is owned by the cottage. In total the plots are 5479m²

If you continue down the lane, you go down to the river, there are some lovely walks in this area; it always makes me smile when I stumble across yet another unknown treasure in the beautiful countryside that is the Haute Vienne.

The village of Bussière-Poitevine is a great place to base yourself, it is between the two rivers Gartempe and Vienne and close to many tourist attractions including Le Dorat and L'Isle Jourdain; with easy access to the Route Nationale (N147).

Getting to the area is easy with flights from many UK airports into Limoges (55km) and Poitiers (66km); the nearest trains at Le Dorat (15km) have links to services to Poitiers train station where you have TGV connections to Paris, Bordeaux, London & Brussels.

The house currently has large living area with doors to a private, partly covered terrace, stairs to the first floor and another door into the kitchen and a dining area, which in turn leads to a very handy storage/pantry. It also has a downstairs shower room with toilet.

The upstairs has two good sized bedrooms; one with its own shower room and toilet. You have an attached terrace and garden and two plots of land, suitable for parking/vegetable plots/smallholding: both within easy walking distance.

The house has mains water, electricity, Gas (Bottled), and drainage is to a septic tank which works perfectly, but you would be advised needs updating. Heating is a mixture of air conditioning units (hot and cold functions), wood burning fire and radiators (in all main rooms and they can detect when a window or door is open and if so they do not heat that room/area, they also have a wireless unit, so can be remotely controlled, its always nice to be able to heat a property before you arrive!) Internet is connected.
